Education

Dr. Jada Meeks has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Tennessee State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Memphis.

Experience

Dr. Meeks has held multiple careers ranging from Systems Programmer, Programmer Analyst, Teacher, Principal and Dean of Education.

Dr. Jada served as the Dean of Education at Meten Preparatory Academy in Chengdu, China.

She joined Career Services at the University of Memphis in February 2017 as the STEM Career Specialist.

Jada currently serves the role of Career Specialist for all Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) majors where she helps prepare students to interview well and obtain internships and jobs.

Corporate Branding

Dr. Jada Meeks has presented on a national level at multiple state and national association conventions. Some of these include the Tennessee Association of Middle Schools, Arkansas Middle Level Association, Oklahoma Middle School Association, the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers National Convention and their Employer Relations Summit.

In addition, she has presented professional development in the K-12 school system in Memphis, and Chicago in public, private and charter schools.

One of her roles at the University of Memphis is to assist employers with recruiting students for internships and full time jobs. She has helped small and large corporations build a brand on campus and build a pipeline for university talent.
